Pimp my Presentation

http://www.glogster.com/glog/6lffqrl58n8sj48sj1mpoa0

I did my first "Glog."  I figured that I was already "bloggin'" for the first time, so I would do another 'og.  This is what I did (see link above).  It was easy to do, but it wouldn't allow me to upload my video (HD quality may have caused this).  I think this tool would be nice to use for a basic poster to demonstrate learning in the classroom.  However, I don't see how I could use it to present information.

  1. Justin,

It looks like your summer is off to a great start. Your daughter is beautiful! I worked on a Popplet this week and feel the same way you do about "Glog." They make for a great poster, but would be a stretch to use for an in-depth lesson. Maybe they would be a good tool for kids to show mastery of major concepts. Keep having fun!

  2. Hi, Justin. Those summer memories in your Glog brought me back 23 years! There is nothing better than playing in the sand, getting a wagon ride, and spending time at the lake. Did your daughter like your Glog? I agree with you and Linda that Glogster seems to work best as an overview rather than something that is real in-depth. I see students using it more than I would probably use it. Enjoy your daddy playtime!

  3. It seems like glogster and popplet are similar in their limitations. I am thinking they may be better student presentation tools...they could use them as an end of unit summary project or something.

On the upside your "glog" was adorable.

  4. Hi Justin, another way you might be able yo use a glog is to assign students to make a glogster poster to demonstrate their understanding of an event, person in history, time period, etc.

  5. Justin, I like the glog. It looks like you are in the full swing of summer.

I think glogster would be a great way for students to "show" what they have learned in a unit in replacement of a traditional poster. I think I would like to have my students use this to show a visual of what we are talking about in science.
